I have one application that can claim the distinction of being the only=20
program ever to crash any computer I've ever owned, though whether or =
not=20
this quirky application might behave in a more stable way if it weren't =
for=20
Jaws and my use of the keyboard instead of the mouse, I don't know. But =
the

Audible Manager program used by the online digital book vendor =
audible.com=20
has been the cause of enormous aggravation, many a system crash, many a =
Jaws

hang, and countless hours wasted on telephone technical support, however =

good natured that help has been. And not my operating system, nor my=20
system's resources, or any other variable seems to have been =
implicated.=20
On my old Pentium 3 machine with Windows 98 S E, and now on my Pentium 4 =

machine under XP Home with SP2, it misbehaves and sabotages me =
incessantly.

If I didn't appreciate this service so much for the literature I obtain =
from

it, I'd have broken off my connection with it long ago because of this.

There.  Done venting.

Hi
Is it a specific program that crashes all the time, or just random all =
the
time no matter what program ou open? If JAWS crashes then it's JAWS at
fault, if not then it's probably the specific program. In my experience =
I've
always heard that if you upgrade from 98 SE to xp without reformatting,
you're gonna have a lot of problems. I really think it's probably the
specific program that's crashing, JAWS shouldn't necessarily be the =
fault of
all the crashes.
