As I hinted last week, I now have a solution of sorts, and this list is directly responsible. Despite my best efforts, I still can't get that program to read properly under JAWS 11, but that little open source program (the one we're not supposed to name, so I won't name it) seems to work pretty well. Editing fields can be tricky; one must retype them, because any keystroke causes the program to exit edit mode), but that beats not being able to use it at all. So now I can finally use the program for which my cabinet and I paid, with help from this one-trick pony. I'd still like to know why Access won't work for me, while working for others, but this will suffice for now. So thanks one and all.
