Miranda IM, and JAWS 7

Hi folks
This one is interesting. I just installed Miranda IM the latest version of
course! When I use it, the contact list is cut off, in other words,
someone's screen name may read like this
toon...
bru...
sca...
and as if that weren't annoying enough, when in a message window, typing a
message becomes nearly impossible, because JAWS hangs. The spoken
keystrokes aren't even as fast as I can type (remember I have typing echo
turned on), and it's really a pain.
Is there a more current version of the scripts that somehow solves these
issues? I don't see how people use this program with such limited
accessibility.
I love the idea of Miranda IM but either the scripts I have don't appear to
be working, or something else is just funky with my system.
