Steve.

That's strange. Check on Windows Update and see if it's an optional download. You might have to select it to have it included as a download. They typically have optional items as well as normal security patches.

Yes, ours came with a Windows Update and is now a happy resident in the system tray. There is also a Microsoft Anti Spyware folder in my programs list on the start menu.

Other than that, I don't know how it got there. I thought it went there automatically when it was downloaded
with the Windows Update. Check under Control Panel and Security as well. I believe, although I'm not sure, that this is only for XP. I could very well be wrong on that, though.

Jean, I haven't even figured out how to find Microsoft anti-spy ware. I
have heard that it downloaded during Windows updates, but I don't know
where. Where can I find it so I can have troubles too?

Running Windows XP home and Jaws 7. Has anyone figured out how to use
the Microsoft AntiSpyware? When I initiate a scan, it asks me to
confirm scan settings and then press the run scan button again. I can't
find it with the Jaws cursor. I did manage to finally get it to run,
but it stopped after five minutes with a questionable file and wanted me
to confirm the recommended action. I couldn't identify any buttons or
checkboxes with the Jaws cursor to do this.

Has anyone found a way of handling this little Microsoft beta utility?

Jean
