Hi Margaret:
I am running the latest 5.0 update on a windows98(se), using Eloquence and I
get the same thing from time to time.

Subject: Messages Not Always Read J 5.00.809/OE6

Hi All,

One of my other problems with JAWS 5.00.809 is that sometimes when
I hit enter on a message, JAWS is silent and I have to do an escape
enter to get JAWS to read the message.

I had trouble with this with the Betas, but, except for those,
this is the first version of JAWS that I've experienced this problem
with. And yes, I did file bug reports on this issue with the
Betas.

I can see the message on the screen with the JAWS cursor.

I'm running Windows 98 se with the GW Micro version of DECtalk
Access 32. My verbosity options are set for advanced and I have lines
without pauses set in say all. I've previously repaired both JAWS 5.0
and IE 6 and that didn't fix the problem.

JAWS 4.51 has gone fluey on me and I'm giving JAWS 5.0 another
try. Do the people with later versions of 5.0 experience this problem
too?

Has anyone found any other ways of remedying this bug?

    Thanks,
Margaret
