Strange...this is the only list I am on that does not identify its messages as
being from the list. I can't imagine the nano second that is lost for JAWS to
read JAWS in the subject line could be that big of an annoyance. Particularly
when someone new shows up on the JFW list and/or there is some weird subject
line, I am sure I delete potentially interesting or useful messages because I'm
not sure where they're coming from
Another county heard from...

We actually tried that for a time a couple years ago, and there was quite a
bit of resistance to it. My advice to you would be to create a filter to put
messages from the list into a different folder for you. How you'd do that
depends on your mail client/service of choice and is a bit beyond the scope of
the list.

  Hello James,
First of all, thanks for the great job of moderating the list.
I wonder if it's possible to add JFW or similar as a prefix to the subject
line of messages to enable grouping etc.
This would make email reading much easier for those of us who have lots of
emails to get through each day.
Compliments of the season to you all.
  Glen

    Folks,

I appreciate that you're looking for people to fill your newest of many new
mailing lists, but the JAWS list is hardly the place to be advertising for it.
Let's try to restrict our posting to things that are actually considered
on-topic for the list, please. This seems to be a biweekly reminder to folks on
the list, and I don't really think it should need to be.
