Subject: McAfee

Indeed, the on-line purchase and most of the installation was quite speech
friendly.
Two huge problems, however, were encountered.
1. During installation I was notified that a copy of Nortan antivirus was
installed. I had thought the IS department at my old law firm had
uninstalled it since I did not own it -- it was the property of my old law
firm (I changed firms after 27 years). McAfee offered to uninstall it. So,
I let it, and then continued with the installation. To my great surprise
and consternation, McAfee not only uninstalled Norton Antivirus, it
uninstalled Microsoft Office. That stinks! Anyone else encounter that!
2. When I click on the McAfee desktop icon, I get a screen full of
unlabeled graphics. Automatic labeling does not work, and there are no
menus. So I started clicking. After several hours (I don't really know
because I went to bed), McAfee apparently finished. The report screen, if
that is what it was, was totally unaccessable.
If someone on the list is using McAfee successfully, then I am clearly
missing a step.
Thanks for any help.
