Manually Syncing Songs in iTunes

Hi,
Could someone please tell me how to manually manage songs and sync them to my
iPod? I think I've got the managing part, but I don't know how to sync
individual or groups of songs.
I'm running Windows XP SP 3 with all updates and JAWS 10.0.512 if that helps
any.
