Sounds like Magic Jack is acting like a second sound card. So, try using the method from Jaws support for two sound cards.----- Original Message ----- From: "Katherine Schulz" <katherineschulz6266@xxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2008 7:21 AM Subject: Re: Magic Jack And JawsThat is really strange. How, then, do you get calls if the phone is being used for Jaws? Do you think that ear phones plugged in to the computer would work?Katherine----- Original Message ----- From: Thomas E. What you have to do is pick up your telephone and listen to jaws through the phone it self. Note: as long as you have the magic jack plugged in to the U.S.B. port; Jaws will only work by listening to it through the telephone..The purpose of prayer is not to get what we want, but to become what God wants. It plugs in to a JSB port and then in to the telephone. It allows you to use your phone, sort of like Vonage but using the phone line. When I first plugged it in, Jaws started to speak and then stopped.Does anyone know if using this sort of phone program would have an effect on Jaws? When I unplugged the Magic Jack from the USB prot, Jaws came back. I'm sort of afraid to plug the phone converter box back in. Any help with this would be appreciated.Katherine -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.comJFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfwIf you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
