Before you totally reinstall it, try a repair.
Go to the help menu in word, and enter on detect and repair.
It will prompt you for your Office CD, and then will do the repair.

Robert and others, I too have had some trouble with MS word reading while
editing documents. I purchased the Word Wise 2000 book from National
Braille Press. That book is great! One of the chapters discusses how
screen clutter can interfere with JAWS in word. It gives recommended
settings in the various menus to get rid of some of the clutter. When I
made those setting changes, things were much better. The changes are too
numerous to mention here. I hope this helps.
Now I have a problem. My computer crashed a few weeks ago. I had to
reinstall everything. Now my Microsoft word takes forever to load. Do I
need to remove it and reinstall it, and will I be able to install it myself.
Does JAWS talk a person through the installation of MS word? Thanks. Donna
