I forgot to look for stinkin codes, wouldn't you know? Control-shift-8 is
supposed to display them in word--some of them, anyway.
Also, according to the tutorial I am using, control-shift-n is supposed to
turn off the list style and get you back to normal so that the numbering
stops. Also, pressing enter twice after a number you wanted prevents the
next number from popping up.
I have a sighted friend who is still using Word Perfect 5.1, would you
believe? it does trouble me that the inventive folks are being wiped out
by the marketeers, but--as you said...
