I had an AMD processor in my last laptop. If you aren't planning on going dual core processor, don't bother. They consume power like it's going out of style. I have an intel laptop Intel Core 2 duo and it zooms with windows XP. I run some heavy apps on here and it doesn't phase it, plus the battery life is awesome. I can squeeze 5 hours easily.

I'm Looking at purchasing a laptop which looks really good and has great
reviews. The only thing I'm concerned about is that the Processor is an AMD. 
I was wondering if anyone has used AMD's lately and if so are they
recommended for use with jaws.
