I disagree that buying a laptop from a store "has way too much clutter that you don't need". First of all, you'll need to be more specific as to exactly what you're referring to; however, I've never heard of anything that's generally available on such store laptops which isn't also available on a custom ordered laptop. I think it's more important to investigate the return policy of the merchant than whether it came from a store or was mail ordered.
