Hi Rose. Not sure if this will help, but when I was on the Kurzweil website in the scanner section, it talked about the hp sccanners needing something extra done to it to make the scanner work well with Kurzweil. Check out the Kurzweil website about the hp scanners, or if you can't find the info let me know, and I will try to help you. I also use the K1000, but I'm using an Eepson scanner. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rose Combs" <rosecombs@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 29, 2005 12:50 PM Subject: RE: Kurzweil 1000 won't open with jaws 61 running > HP scan jet 4500 C. > > It worked on my older computer that crashed last week. > > > Rose Combs > rosecombs@xxxxxxxxx > > -----Original Message----- > From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On > Behalf Of chevelle > Sent: Sunday, May 29, 2005 9:32 AM > To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: Kurzweil 1000 won't open with jaws 61 running > > > What kind of scanner are you trying to with the k1000. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Rose Combs" <rosecombs@xxxxxxxxx> > To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Sunday, May 29, 2005 12:12 PM > Subject: RE: Kurzweil 1000 won't open with jaws 61 running > > >>I don't know because I am using Jaws 6.10 and K1000 runs, I just cannot >> seem to get my scanner to work after getting a new computer last week. >> Jaws became silent while I am in K1000 just as it did with previous >> versions of Jaws. >> >> >> Rose Combs >> rosecombs@xxxxxxxxx >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On >> Behalf Of Stan Holdeman >> Sent: Saturday, May 28, 2005 1:03 PM >> To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >> Subject: Kurzweil 1000 won't open with jaws 61 running >> >> >> Friends: Running xp home sp2. >> With jaws 61 running K-1000 won't open, neither from hotkey, desktop >> icon nor start menu. >> >> With Jaws 50 running, it opens fine. >> >> I guess this has to do with putting jaws to sleep, but I thought that >> was taken care of through the scripts for Kurzweil. >> >> How do I resolve this? >> >> Thanks, Stan >> >> -- >> To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >> To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to >> jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject > line. >> Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw >> >> If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, > or >> the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
