Recently a kindel program for the pc was released that seems to have gotten
favorable reviews from VI folks, but still not a completely e-book reading
solution. As far as the actual device however... still not very practicle.
Amazon's inching towards accessibility, but they're still not there yet.

Subject: Kindle Reader 3rd edition

Hello:

Lately I have been hearing about the Kindle Reader. Has anyone had
experience with it?

Does it work with JAWS when downloading books?

Is it accessible to someone who is totally blind?

The web site says it has text-to-speech capability, including the
menus. What is the speech quality??

Would appreciate any advice

Joan
