P.S.

Gerald, what you suggest below isn't the same as what Robert suggested,
which was:

echo off
taskkill /F /IM jfw.exe

Yo've Your version provides a path and direction. Which would be the better
one to save as a batch file and create a way to run?

thanks.

Kill Jaws is a desktop shortcut that invokes the XP system utility
"taskkill" to forcibly close JAWS after a crash that results in loss of
speech. Many times when JAWS crashes, an error message is displayed on
screen which blocks JAWS from closing with the normal Insert + F4 command.
Kill Jaws eliminates this problem by closing Jaws without having to respond
to the error message. To create the shortcut, use the following target
address:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskkill.exe /f /im jfw.exe

Hope this helps.
