One thing I've just had to gather by inference in this discussion is that 
when Jaws goes silent in a situation like this, that does *not* mean that 
Jaws isn't running any longer and you can reboot without a care for it. I 
guess when Jaws falls silent it means only that speech output has failed, 
but doesn't mean Jaws has unloaded itself. This is something that hadn't 
occurred to me before.

If that sounds a little stupid, sorry. But at least I'm not unsure how to 
unsubscribe... <smile>
