In my experience it does not work more than half of the time. Of course, you do have to reload JAWS with a hotkey- it does not restarrt automatically. Usually, I try to manually load a different version of JAWS because usually the one that died will not revive even after doing the 'kill' and then reloading manually. Cher >>> "Norma A. Boge" <naboge@xxxxxxxxx> 7/18/2007 10:59 AM >>> Hi listers, I'm using Jaws v. 8.0.422. When I use the kill Jaws command (insert-start-F4) I hear a very short buzz from my CPU and Jaws does not restart. I have determined that Jaws is unloading, but something is preventing it from starting again. This feature worked perfectly for me in the original version of Jaws 8, but not since. I am reluctant to update because I was running a more current version of 8 but rolled back because of some intolerable problems. Ok, so if anyone has any hints on resolving this issue, I'm all ears.
