also pressing f6 key does the same thing and puts u in the edit field for the
address edit...stephen

all do the same thing: You type the URL you want to go a-hunting for a web site.
Alt+D actually places you in the address box, with the previous address
selected. All you have to do it type what you want, and then press Enter to go
there.
