That's censorship. A sig line is like a bumper sticker on a car or a political sign on your front lawn. As long as the content of the message contains no offensive material, then we can all stop reading when we get to the end of the message. That having been said, I don't wan't to read sig lines that offend me either. Actually, I don't mind reading them once, because it tells me something about the sender. One way to avoid having to read the same sig line over and over, even only the first few words of it which is often enough to irritate the offended reader, is to ask every sender to end his message with his/her name or nickname. That way, when you read the person's name, you know you are at the end of the message, and you can skip the offending sig line.
