Crystal,
Just wondering, when you did your clean install, did you delete the old
jaws50 folder before the re-install?

Yes, I think this must be an issue with Windows 98 se.

I tried a clean install of Jfw 5.00844, and, the combo boxes would still not
read.

I have had to uninstall it, and went back to the previous 5.0 update, which
does work okay for me.

You don't realize how much you depend on a functionality like the combo
boxes reading properly, until, it isn't there anymore.

Thanks to all for trying too help with this issue, but, it definitely is an
issue on my computer.
