I don't know if they put it in office 2007, and now they have moved it into the OS of win 7 so office may have add ons, or may not,
what you would have to do is check the office 2007 tech info from the MS site, or the longer way around, put in the office 7 disk and start a "change options" custom install and see if it's listed in there
whew, I know its a world of change, but I wish things would remain where they were, I just finish off learning one, and the newer one is sitting there and the newest one is just came out and kicked everything else into a scramble info wise! arg

Elf, Very interesting. I have Office 2007 so theoretically have access to that capability, but have never stumbled across anything like that. Is this something that needs to be downloaded from the MS site as are upgrades? I swore, before I in panic, did an Alt F4 to shut it, it said something about Speech recognition. Does XP or JAWS 11 have a similar program built in? Never heard of it before, but, no I did hear it. I was playing with the program last night. once I got my microphone setup, I was able to, 1, speak to my computer, and issue voice commands, such as, go to desktop, say such things as, Microsoft word, then jaws would read the icon, then I would say, enter, and yes? word would open, now, I can dictate text, and automatically the text would be on the screen. you can open, close save, with your voice. very interesting. -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
