I hesitated to jump in here, because every time I offer information I scroll
down and find that 4 or 5 others got their first, which jams up the list.
But, as I see no one else, here goes. Merge Utility is a function that's
been around off and on for quite a while now. It allows you to clone
preferences from a selected earlier version of JFW. Saving you the trouble
of tweaking your new version to suit your needs and preferences.

When I called Freedom Scientific about this issue, they suggested merging
utilities. Have you tried that?

I can't get JFW 8 to speak the addresses either when typing in a beginning
letter of an address. The only time it works is if I'm in the body of a
message, and then shift-tab back to the To: field to make a change.
Then it
seems to work.
