In your options under email preferences, there's a box to save messages in
the sent items box. Make sure this is checked.

Hey listers,
I'm using Jaws 10 on an XP pro machine. I'm also using Outlook
2003. I was wondering when I'm in the Outlook 2003 tree view and I want to
search for a specific folder this is what happens to me How is it that I'm
unable to see all of my e-mails from my sent items folder. For example,
when I go to the tree view and use first letter navigation to get to my sent
items folder and press enter. I then tab to the list view where you would
normally see all the e-mails that you've ever written in there. You would
think that they would be there. Is there a feature that you can turn on and
off to cause something like this to happen where you can't even view the
e-mails that are in the sent items folder. In my Outlook settings I have
all the unsent e-mails that I wish to work on later go into my drafts folder
and I have checked everything else out and it seems like everything is going
to the appropriate folders except for the sent items e-mails. I don't see
anything there. When I go to the list view Jaws says "From subject receive
size: There are no items to show in this view." What does this possibly
mean? I went to the Outlook window and went to tools: options and in the
preferences dialog box, I tab to the e-mail options button. I tab to where
it said saved copies of messages in sent items folder check box is checked.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing before? This has been going
on for quite some time. Any help would be greatly appreciative.

I have a word document with several check boxes. Jaws does not seem to
recognize that there is a field there or the status of the checkbox.
In previous versions of jaws I could locate the check box and I could use the
properties to change the default to the check status I wanted. with jaws 10 I
can't even locate the field.
Does any one have any experience with this?

Yes, shift+ctrl+k is for placing permanent markers. In jaws 10 the keystroke
for placing is changed to ctrl+windows+k. Try this. If it still is a problem,
then I consider it jaws bug. It does sutch things with firefox.
The temporary markers are there till you close the page. You can also use
markers in localy saved html files.
In microsoft word you can use bookmarks. You can add one from the insert menu
or pressing ctrl+shift+f5. In other text editers as notepad, you can use the
method explained by Ann.

I think the keystroke is shift+control+k. Below is link from Freedom's site.
When I am in a document what I do is that I type my maiden name which is
unique, save, and exit word. Later when I open word and go to doc, then I use
control+f in word to find my name. Press escape to close find dialog and you
are where you typed your name. I delete my name and continue reading. When
I stop I retype my last name and save. Hope you are doing well.

Strange. But I wonder if you have more than one sent items folder? Do some more
looking. Should be a mailbox folder, with subfolders inbox, outbox, sent, read,
etc.
You might have another folder with a sent items branch that's not being used.

Carmen,
Another suggestion. Hit enter on the sent items folder, then go to the view
menu and select current view. Make sure you have your current view is set the
way you would want.
Mine is set to "sent to" but you could also have it set to "messages".
The "messages" option sets them all to show you as the sender, so I use the
"sent to" choice, which shows to whom the messages were sent.
If you have "unread messages" checked, you'll probably see nothing in the list.

You shouldn't run into any problems, depending on which version of JAWS
you're running. If you're running JAWS 8, it won't work with Vista service
pack 1. Otherwise it'll be fine.
