I have this problem from time to time with both Jaws 5.10 and 6. Still no
explanation yet. However, I deal with it as follows:
- Wake up Jaws with Insert J, and alt tab to previous application.
- Or close Jaws, and launch it again.
Often this works for me, but it can be annoying.

Yes Jaws does speak after the down load.
However, I have 3.2hz on the mother board, and a gig of ram. That sounds
like enough resources to me
In any case, I didn't start having this problem until I down loaded and
installed Jaws510.383.
