Jaws not speacking

Hi, I am using Jaws 5.01 and windows Ex p. I just had to shut off Jaws so
that my dad could look at a document that I was working on and having
problems with. When I went to load jaws up again it wouldn't speak to me. I
ended up alt tabbing around and I found the jaws window but there was still
no speech. I shut it down again and tried to restart it again but still no
speech. I ended up having to reset my computer so that I could get jaws to
start again. The only other things I had running were, Microsoft word and I
had outlook express minimised.
Hope some one can help.
