Jaws is quite sluggish when typing farily fast in Ms-word

Hello,
I have Jaws 7.1 and Ms-word 2003. I have noticed for quite some time that Jaws
is quite sluggish when I am typing fairly fast in Ms-word. Is there anyway I
can speed up the response of Jaws to respond quicker to tell me the current
words as I am typing them fairly fast? Any help with this would be so very
much appreciative as I am a medical transcriptionist. Much thanks in advance
for any help.
