Yeah, Jaws is exorbitant for the layman but the state commissions for the
blind seem to be giving them out to their communities. The problem is in
most cases a person has to state goals to get the equipment and then prove
that they are earning something to get service. It's a catch 22 that not
too many people who are newly disabled know how to cope with. Government
bureaucracies are very impatient and everyone wonders why a person who
became handicapped last month aren't productive just like the person whose
life is continuing as before.
