Hello Daniel. I'm partially sighted and if Jaws for windows is in the system tray and I press insert + J. it launches the context menu of Jaws for Windows. In other words, there is no Jaws window all you have is a vertical list of your menus. I hope this helps. Chris. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yardbird Sent: Wednesday, May 11, 2005 9:53 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Jaws and system tray Hi chris, Not to rain on parade, but I've used Jaws through a few versions, and Insert J has always been a way to put up the main interface whether you have it running in the Task Bar or the System Tray. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Jenkins" <saveup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 10, 2005 3:54 PM Subject: RE: Jaws and system tray Hello all. Don't forget Insert+ J. will open the context menu of the Jaws program so you can change jaws settings that you used to have to go to the Jaws window for. I hope this helps. Hey, that's great. I just set JAWS to run in the system tray and it seems to have done what you said. It use to drive me nuts when I'd alt-tab accidentally into the JAWS window. Now that won't happen anymore. I didn't know what it meant until David poelman explained it to me. The good thing about running jaws from the tray is that it is one less program on the screen. SO when you are alt tabbing around between programs you don't have to alt tab past jaws because it is not there. web site www.rellek.com/stevegomes phone 720-747-4990 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gene" <guystevens@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 30, 2005 9:18 PM Subject: Jaws and system tray > What is the difference between running Jaws in the "normal" way and > running > it from the system tray? > > > > Thanks; Gene > > On MSN and Yahoo - guystevens@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > > > -- > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to > jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw > > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or > the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
