Jaws and laptops

Hi,
I am thinking about getting a laptop. Is it feasible to get two sound cards
on a laptop? I would like to be able to independently control the volume
for Jaws and whatever I'm listening to.
Also, is there anything I should avoid when selecting a laptop?
