Thanks much. Have never tried the F6 key, although I do the same thing in starting at the top of the page as a reference. My trouble has been finding that reference point from the address bar, Suggested Sites area, etc. Will definitely try the F6. Thanks so much. The solution is to press F6 either once or, most often, twice. This cycles through the address bar, one other aspect of the webpage (I forget which) and then the page itself. If I'm in any doubt about my location on a webpage, I press control-home to put me at the top and work down from there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Judy Jones Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 2010 9:48 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Jaws and address bar. Ah! I also must have issues with Iexplorer not always wanting to load. Thanks again. What is happening is you are tabbing before the site loads. So to tell if the site has loaded just arrow through and once you can arrow through the first link start tabbing. But if you happen to go into the address bar you need to wait till the page is loaded before tabbing works. I tab a ton of times then hit ctrl home to get to the top. But that is the only way I know how to get out. Hope this helps! (I don't like to use tab through a web page because moving with arrow keys and headings is way more informational and is faster for me+no address bar trouble). Greetings: One question I've had for quite some time. The scenario is this. When a web page comes up, thinking I'm at the top, sometimes I start to tab through, only to hear Jaws read the address bar. Most of the time, to get to the page itself, I shift-tab, then ctrl-home to the top to start navigating. However, sometimes, the shift-tab lands me in Suggested Sites, or Favorites. When it does this, how do I get back to my page I want to navigate? I've resorted to closing out IExplorer then reopening. Is there an easier way to find the way back to the original page? Please advise. Thanks. Judy
