Hi, I get this as well using JAWS 9 under Vista Home Premium. If you want to get to the Task Manager though, just press control shift escape. Not sure if it works under XP, but I'm sure it does. Hope that helps. Why not join my Blind Hobbyist group? Subject: Jaws and Windows security screen

Hi,

After I have uninstalled all versions of Jaws on my computer and reinstalled Jaws 8.0 and 9.0, Jaws will not read Windows security screen (if I press CTRL+ALT+DELETE).

If I press a letter (e.g. T for Task Manager), Jaws will read information from the Task Manager fine.

I using Windows XP Service Pack 3 with all updates installed.

My screen resolution is 1024*768 pixels, and my color quality is 32 bit.

Thanks in advance for any reply, and have a nice day.

Regards,
Anders
