Hi Dale and all,

This has got me quite excited. They have a solution that you might like.
If you buy an ultra bay laptop, they sell an ultra bay usb keypad that fits
into the storage bay and can be pulled out and connected when needed. They
used to carry notebooks with full sized keyboards but they do not carry them
any more. You can also have them call you if you live in their calling
range. They know about jaws, but you might have to contact their special
needs department to deal with that issue. Of course, I got the customer
service from india.

You really don't need a numeric keypad with jaws anymore though especially
on one that is sensibly designed.

Subject: Jaws and IBM Notebooks?

I know this goes around and around, sorry about that but I am needing a
Notebook and I seem to recall that one or more of the IBM series were said
to have a number pad separate which folds out from the keyboard and further,
that they work well with JAWS.

I don't happen to live within hundreds of kilometres of a store which
carries any inventory and my searches on the Web do not make any reference
to such a feature.

Have I misunderstood -- is there such a notebook with a number pad or one
with something like a full keyboard?

For the moment we can assume that cost is not the concern.

Thanks.
