Yes, I expected this to be fixed by now. It is not just with google.
I have had exactly the same weirdness as you describe below on first use of
a web page. that was definitely not there in earlier releases. I am using
JAWS 11 with the latest download, Vista Ultimate with the latest upgrade,
and IE 8; exactly:
Internet Explorer Version: 8.0.6001.18904
JAWS Version 11.0.756
Windows Vista Ultimate operating system Version 6.0 (Build 6002: Service
Pack 2)
I think the problem is in IE and not google; I have the same problem when my
browser is Google. My work around is to either start a blank page copy of
IE before I use my favorites to launch the page I am after; or do a shift +
tab after the search has found my page. However if I do anything else,
things really get messed up!

Both of my work arounds are reliable; I just have to be sure to do them.

Please inform me if there is a more technically solid way to fix this
problem.

Best,
Robert

Subject: Jaws and Google

Hi all. I am currently using Jaws 11 and my search engine is Google. When I
do a search, my results don't come up the first time. I hit enter after
typing my search in the edit field, and Jaws says, "page has 1 heading and
12 links." The search works the second time, or if I do the search and tab
to the search button before pressing enter. But I shouldn't have to do that.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Cheers.
