No, JAWS generally will not work with census records because they are
most often simply scanned pictures of handwritten documents. It's a
shame, but that's the way it is right now.

Take care...

Subject: Jaws and Family tree maker

Hi,
I and using xp, jfw6.0, and family tree maker. Jaws works very well
with FTM but I have one question. Will Jaws read files such as the US
census. I know it will read the indexes but Jaws doesn't seem to read
the census records. Can somebody reply either on the list or in private.
Thanks, chuckk@xxxxxxxx
