hi,
I have seen this too. JAWS will also say "spell" when issuing the spell word
command. restart jaws and that will fix the problem.

Hello list members, I'm using windows XP and Jaws 6. A strange thing has
started happening, when I hold down the shift key for a capital letter
instead of a pitch change now jaws is saying cap and the letter. I checked
my pitch change setting and it's fine, this is driving me crazy, please
help.This just started today and I should mention that I've made no changes
and nor have I installed anything new.
