At the risk of belaboring my suggestion, I didn't intend to respond to a
specific person's question. I find it an approach that fits the logic of
Outlook Express and so is easily remembered. Periodically I go through my
address book and delete names connected with temporary correspondence, so I
don't consider adding a few names here and there an imposition. Clearly,
those brave souls who upgraded to JAWS 7 don't have this issue. My JAWS 7
CD sits in my drawer and I won't download version 7.X until I'm confident
the bugs have been sprayed.

Adrian,
that's a perfectly normal way to do this. But the general idea of what I
was trying to refresh my memory about is a method among several that does
*not* entail committing an address to your Address Book if you'd rather not,
but simply replying.

As a JAWS 6.2 stick-in-the-mud and Outlook Express user, here's how I reply
to the sender in a group. I press alt-t within the message to which I want
to reply, arrow down to "Add" and click on the sender to add the information
to my address book. Then I press control-f for "forward" and begin typing
in that sender's name in the "To" field until the name turns up.
