I have a similar configureation. the only diverence is that I am using
windows vista. I can not reproduce this.
Two things you can try:
1. repair JAWS
2. make sure you have all the updates for office 2000

Subject: Jaws 9 and spell check in Word 2000

Hi All

Whenever I wanted to do a spell check in a document today, Jaws crashed and
the following message was displayed:

microsoft visual ++ runtime library
runtime error
program:d:\program files\freedom scietific\jaws\9.0\jfw.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call

I am using the latest version of Jaws 9; Windows XP Home and the very old
Word 2000.

Any explanation/help?

Thanks.

Renette
