That's been my experience too. As I said in another post, if you really
want to lock in the change, you have to do it from the JFW menu.

It has been my experience that the choice of the SAY ALL SAPI voice
appears
to be application specific, in reality it is not. I set one SAPI voice
for
application 1 then set a different SAPI voice for application 2 then
when I
went back to application 1 it had the SAPI voice that I had chosen for
application 2. I noted this to FSI as a bug and they gave it a ticket
number.

Chris,
I've just went to Config Manager in 8.0 and the option "use SAPI voices
during Say All" is present in Outlook.jcf file. So it is application
dependent, as well as global setting (you need to go to default.jcf in
order
to make it global.). As someone asked, no, you cannot make a particular
voice read a particular message from a particular sender. The option
applies
to during say all. If you've selected Microsoft Mike, for example, if
you
invoke Say All while in a message body, you'll hear Mike speaking the
message. And if you open another message, you'll still hear Mike.
Cheers,
Joseph

hi. i don't think what you want to do is possible, at least not to my
knowledge. So far I've only been able to figure out how to choose a
specific SAPI voice for all programs you use with JAWS.
