If you're talking about the item in the synthesizer list when you pick guided or advanced installation, the access32 item just installs the DAPI interface. The DAPI is kind of like SAPI, but only for DECTalk Access32. This is why DECTalk Access32 can't be used with other applications that don't support DAPI.

If the DecTalk came on the jaws disk, it seems to me there shouldn't be a problem, but checking with FS tech support should be the last word on the subject.

  Hi Jim.

The dectalk access 32 came on the jaws 7.0 installation disk. So I had the option of installing it along with jaws, which I did, but I don't know what version of DECtalk access 32 it is.

hi what version of the dectalk access 32 software do you have installed.
who provided it to you. remember that each company provides its own means of unlocking dectalk access 32.
so you need to make sure that your version is unlocked before started jaws.

Subject: Jaws 7.0 and DECtalk access 32 software

Hi.
I am having a problem with jaws 7.0 and DECtalk access 32 software. I try and switch to the DECtalk access 32 software for my synthasizer, but it will always switch right back to eloquence. Then when I close jaws, I get an error message that says+, "This product license is not authorized to run
DECtalk Access32 Software . How do I get it authorised to run DECtalk access 32 software?
