I just figured out what fooled me. Jaws is reading the message subject and immediately folowing with the date of the message, which of course begins with 8 for August. So it sounds, every time, like "Jaws 7.1 and IE 8." Sorry. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cher Bosch" <Cher.Bosch@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2006 5:27 AM Subject: Re: Jaws 7 and IE I believe all the references in this thread are to JAWS7, not IE7. >>> yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 08/14/06 11:51 AM >>> Hi, I've been wondering about the subject of this thread. Last I heard online, the very latest incarnation of Internet Explorer was version 7, and that was circulating only in a Beta version. It doesn't seem so long ago that I heard this. But now there's a discussion about Version 8! What did I miss? Was Version 7 finalized and a replacement for it also developed and shipped, without my being aware of it? Thanks for explanation, from an IE 6 user. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cher Bosch" <Cher.Bosch@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 14, 2006 6:07 AM Subject: Re: Jaws 7 and IE Usually when you can't go back it is because the last link opened a new window and you now have two windows open. Have you tried to alt-tab to see if your previous page is open in another window? In IE every now and then, very often to be honest, I'll be viewing a page and do the key combination to go back and although the page goes back Jaws is stuck on the previous page. Hope this makes sense, anyway can this problem be fixed? I'm using Jaws 7. Thanks!
