So I read. Nice to know you got at least half your problem sorted out, anyway. If it works for you, I can't think of an explanation. But it's okay with me, as long as I can use Jaws 9 to update it now and then. As for super Anti Spyware, I realize that I just pressed the wrong command because I was distracted. You might perhaps try reinstalling both spyware applications and see if that fixes the issue. Alternatively, switch temporarily back to version 9 and see if the problem repeats itself. If yes, it's not a JAWS issue. James, List Admin On Sun, November 16, 2008 11:36, Yardbird wrote: I've just installed Jaws 10 and now have two anti-spyware gglitches. 1. When I launch Spyware Blaster, Jaws announces its name but then doesn't speak the command for opening the commands list that allows you to operate the program. Dead silence. Useless. 2. Super Anti Spyware behaved strangely when I tried to scan with it. After just a couple of seconds, it asked if I really wanted to cancel the scan, or words to that effect. If I pressed enter on no, it did the same as when I pressed Enter on Yes. The scan sopped, said it was complete, and no further information was given. Users of this program will know that it doesn't ordinarily work this way at all. I tried scanning a couple of time, but the same thing kept happening. Now, please, before kindly providing the names of other anti spyware software to recommend, can someone respond to these questions? Thanks very much. -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
