Dustin, I have really played around with Windows Live Mail, over the
last week since installing Windows 7 and the live mail program on my
computer. In most of my years of using Windows, I have opted to use
Outlook Express and then Windows mail in Vista since it did not "hog"
memory like Outlook. I already have Outlook in Office 2003 which I used
a
few years ago when I was having to access a VAN mail account and which
worked well with JFW. So I am going to switch back to that E mail
client.
I know that there are a lot of issues that FS might fix in Windows Live
Mail by writing new scripts for Windows Live Mail , but who knows when
that will happen. And yes, you can struggle with Windows Live Mail and
use it if you do not have a lot of E mail to deal with. I have had
problems with using the message rules to filter messages and put the
messages into folders automatically as they come into the "in box" as
well as easily navigating around from folder to folder since the "pane
view" is not recognized by jaws and so first key navigation does not
work
in that view. And then there is difficulty with the "contacts" not
working properly when addressing new messages.
And then the sluggish matter of deleting messages from within a message
.
So, though I do not have the time to revisit Outlook 2003, I will do so
to en the frustration of dealing with Windows Live Mail.
I have written FS and suggest that they let folks know that the Windows
Live Mail is not fully supported by FS so that folks switching to
Windows
7 understand that there is no Outlook Express and the Windows Live Mail
substitute program does not work. This means you have to own Outlook
if
you want to have a user friendly E mail client.
I am not complaining as I understood this before making the Windows 7
switch but a lot of other folks may not know this or if they have to buy
a new computer, know that they will need an Office Program with Outlook.
So now I am anxious to try outlook again. Hope it still works as
advertised by FS as noted on a recent FS Podcast.

Hi all, I am going to be purchasing office for my Netbook because I
can't figure out how to work windows live mail, and I need outlook.
What version is better with Jaws, 2003 or 2007? If any of you have
hints on how to make Jaws work better with windows live mail that would
be greatly appreciated and if you don't, what version of office works
the best.
