Cy,

I'm using Jaws 8 too. I don't have this problem but try to check which version
of Jaws 8 are you using?
I use, Jaws8.0.1177.
If you don't use that last update, try to do it, maybe it may solve your
problem, maybe!

Take care

Actually this sounds very much like what is happening. I have noticed that
after the computer has been running for some time it seems to bog down and
the percentage used by JFW.EXE is quite high.
Hmm, wonder if there is going to be a fix for this.....
  Thanks for your reply...

  Hi there,
This is called Memory Leak: where the program forgets to release system
memory after it is finished with it. I had a Skype conversation with a JAWS
user the other day and he said that JAWS sometimes commits memory leak. I
recommend that you check the memory usage of jfw.exe to see whether JAWS
  uses more and more memory.
  Cheers,
Joseph P.S. When this happens, do you notice that your computer runs slow?

Well folks, I have noticed an item running called JFW>EXE and it seems to
get very busy from time to time. I noticed that my System Idle percentage
went way down and the only culprit I could identify which was using a pretty
goood percentage of cycles was JFW.EXE.
I do not recall having this problem before 8.0. Any thoughts?
