I agree totally with this. Fix as many known bugs as possible, and maybe even implement a few features the scripters have asked for. But, I'm afraid that we will continue to see extra bloat added on, more sound effects, wizards that simply access the internet, etc.
I talked to someone who took the on-sight script writing training, and he said whenever there was a crash or other serious problem, the common response was "oh, it's not supposed to do that." *laughs*
