Wait. There's one other thing you may want to try. Here's a copy of
some instructions from FS that are worth a shot. #4 may not be correct
when it says to use INSERT+NUM PAD STAR. It may be INSERT+NUM PAD / but
am not totally sure about that. I do know that floating toolbars have
given others problems on the list and could potentially be yours.

Product Name: JAWS for Windows

Version: 6.0

Category: Microsoft Word

Short Description:

JAWS does not read some text in Microsoft Word 2003

Problem:

When working with Microsoft Word, some text may seem to be 'missing' or
is ignored by JAWS. For instance, after you type some text and review it
with UP and/or DOWN ARROW, you find that JAWS does not read some of the
text you typed. One consistent cause of this with Word 2003 is when a
floating toolbar is present above the text you are trying to read. JAWS
cannot read new text below an undocked, floating toolbar until you
refresh the screen with INSERT+ESC.

Solution:

Many toolbars are already docked by default, but some, such as the Forms
toolbar, are not. To determine which toolbars are currently displayed,
open the View menu, select Toolbars, and press RIGHT ARROW. Displayed
toolbars are checked. You can hide an active toolbar by selecting it and
pressing ENTER.

If you want to dock a floating toolbar, do the following:

1. Press ALT, then CTRL+TAB to cycle through all the toolbars until you
reach the floating toolbar.

2. Press INSERT+NUM PAD MINUS to route the JAWS cursor to the PC
cursor's location, which is usually the first button on toolbar.

3. Press UP ARROW to move the JAWS cursor to the toolbar's title.

4. Press INSERT+NUM PAD STAR twice to double-click the area. This docks
the floating toolbar at the nearest station, either at the top or bottom
of the document.

Hi all,

I did the repair wizard for JFW, I changed some things in MS Word.
Nothing
has worked, so I guess I'll just have to grin and bear it.

Hi, when you go to tools, go to installation maintenance, and there you
will
find it when you enter on installation maintenance.
