Hi Daniel and Chris,

Thanks for the instructions. I'll definitely give it a shot! Now if I could
just figure out why my BNS is doing the same thing! LOL The insert mode for
my bns isn't working right either. There doesn't seem to be a list for that.
LOL

Thanks for all your help,
Chelsea

Just to see if it helps, you might try running the Jaws repair function.
Once in awhile, this has straightened out an eccentric Jaws misbehavior for
me. Other times, not. But it's worth a shot in a case like this.

Go to
1. Start Menu
2. Jaws
3. Tools
4. Installation maintenance

The install Wizard will launch. never mind wondering what repair has to do
with installation. Follow the instructions for doing a Jaws repair. You
may have to reset a few of your settings in the menus and/or the
configuration manager aftwrward; to be honest, I've forgotten. But it's a
nice little capability that sometimes can make Jaws work properly
again.ortotten.
Daniel

Thanks for the advice. I usually try to keep everything else closed when I'm
running MS word or Outlook, and it still happens.

Hi,

I have occasionally run into a similar problem on my system. When I have it
has been the result of an unrelated application (in my case a PC Callerid
program) posting a dialog box on top of the message I am reading in Outlook
Express or Word. This seriously confuses JAWS usually causing mis-reads or
partial text reads. I then Alt+Tab to locate the problem box and close it.
JAWS then continues normally on the message...

Best regards...
