multi threading is not multi tasking.

the best multi threading occurs when you have 2 things, a system with 2
processors and a application that supports multi threading.

most applications do not support multi threading.

i suspect jfw does not.

about one in a hundred do.

intels 3.4 processor with multi threading support allows one c p u to do
multi threads at the same time, but it their is a catch to do this requires
adding software to the operating system.

this software actually can slow down standard applications.

but can boost software that is multi threaded.

the only apts i no of that support multi threading are some of the adobe
photo shop.
maybe some cad based programs as well.

so the multi threading in the intel processor is not much of a benefit.

their is a silver lining to that feature though, once it becomes main
streem maybe applications will be written to do multiple threads.
