HI Kevin, What you discovered is the reality. When people give these tips, they assume that every machine has jfw loaded on it which they don't. These bootable jaws cds will only work if jaws has been previously installed = on to the specific machine and the video hooks have been set-up correctly. = The exception to this case maybe would be if they are loading it in an environment which was using a network version of jaws and the server has = the server version of jaws on it and the person's cd has a client version of jaws on it. Even then, they'd have to have the right permissions etc. David Truong E-mail and MS messenger: davidtruong@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Home Page: http://members.optusnet.com.au/davidtruong/ -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On = Behalf Of Kevin Roggeman Sent: Friday, 14 May 2004 8:18 AM To: jfw users email list Subject: JFW Bootable CD ok, I followed the instructions to make the CD that will boot up with = JAWS. When I try it on a computer that has never had JAWS installed on it, it tries to start JFW, but I get an error stating something about the video intercept not being installed. I tested this on a Windows XP computer. = Have other people really got this to work on XP machines that have never had = JAWS on it? It does seem strange that it would work since none of the DLLs = would be registered.=20 Thanks, Kevin Roggeman =20 =20 -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
