Hey, thanks for the NVDA link as I cold not find it. (LOL)
If FS said you were the only person who experienced problems with JAWS 10
they must not be listening to anyone else in the World.
I have both 10 and 9 on my XP Home laptop and I went back to 9 for
everything except the web business as 10 locks up in MS Outlook 2003.

This is another "Dave" but I can give you some well-seasoned (in my case,
age) advice, if you'll pardon the pun from a 58-year-old "youngster."
I was myself disgusted with JAWS 10 coming from JAWS 9 and like you,
reverted back to 9. However I recall asking Freedom Scientific this
question, and of course their answer was something like: Sorry, but most
users of JAWS 10 are reporting no major problems, so we can't entertain your
request. So my SMA was reduced down by one count.
Again not a quote, but a paraphrase.
As to your other question on NVDA, here's a link to their web site, and they

I bought Jaws 11 and the sma several months ago and found version 11 to be
flawed, so reverted to version 10. Will HJ give me a free version to
replace the flawed one? I certainly won't waste a SMA to correct their
error!
I also notice that HJ isn't sending out information as to how best to deal
with their goof up!!!
I keep hearing rumors about a new program called MDVA, well think I have
that right. However, I cannot find out anything about it. Do you have any
suggestions as how to get more information on it?
I have been using Jaws ever since it was a dos program back in the 1980s
and up to now have found it be a reliable program, but now its quality is
questionable.
I have tried Window Eyes and found it rather confusing and even tried
Linux and got as far as doing email and simple spread sheets, but then it
got too involved and I gave it up.
Why did Henter Joyce keep screwing around with Jaws and screwed it up
royally and don't even bother to instruct its users as what to do to remedy
the problems!
sorry Dave didn't mean to vent like this, but I am so disgusted with Jaws
that I could scream and just want something that I can just do email and
down loads from Bard!
